The Process
The purpose of the consultation meeting gives us a chance to meet with our clients properly in their environment so we can start to formulate a good relationship. We can get to know you better, to understand your needs and requirements. To walk round your garden and bounce ideas off one another. This is a great opportunity to discuss questions from both parties. Your likes and dislikes, any budgetary issues, electrics, water etc.
Budget is always a good talking point, we could design you the most expensive building going with all the state of the art gadgets, but if you don't need it we don't want to waste anyone's time.
We strive to design buildings that meet and exceed our clients expectations.
All our ideas are often formulated whilst at the consultation meeting through the form of sketches, its almost like creating a visual design brief that the client can see and channel their requirements to align how we can develop the ideas into a realised building. It is a good opportunity for everyone to have their say and scribble all over our artwork. The clever bit is translating the sketches into a fully specified 3D model using the latest 3D CAD software.
Phase 2 is all about developing the sketch ideas into fully detailed 3D CAD models, which gives us accurate build steps for our contractors, and exact Bill of Materials to ensure we have all the correct components needed onsite and at the correct time. This allows us to be very accurate on pricing the projects. A follow up meeting is scheduled to present the design and final costing. At this point, changes can be made free of charge.
The aim of this meeting is to agree we have understood your needs and requirements, secure the order and discuss a start date and schedule of work to suit both parties.
Our fully trained team of contractors will arrive on the agreed start date and endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum, obviously there is usually a lot of material to be moved in and out of the site, but this will be outlined in all stages of engagement. Our guys will deal with all aspects of the build from the ground works up to the roofing. We use external Part P certified electricians for all aspects of electrics to ensure we comply fully to regulations. During this phase you will have an appointed point of contact for any questions that may arise.
This is the best moment for us, our clients are usually about to see the progress of the build anyway, but it is now finished. At every stage of the project, we can keep our clients informed on the progress and any work still to be done. Near completion we will issue a ‘snagging list’ this outlines any issues still to be addressed. On Completion, we ensure any minor details has been addressed according to the snagging list before our guys pack their tools away and clean up after themselves. We can then hand over your keys to you new space for you to enjoy.
